Find Specific Biomes in Your World
Search Systematically Using BiomeInfo
While BiomeInfo doesn't have a built-in search or teleport feature, you can use it to efficiently locate specific biomes by exploring methodically.
Method
1. Decide which biome you're searching for
2. Travel to an unexplored area of your world
3. Use the look-at biome display to scan the landscape from high ground (mountains, tall trees, or towers)
4. Look in different directions to identify nearby biomes without traveling to each one
5. Once you spot your target biome name, navigate toward it
6. Use the current biome display to confirm when you've arrived
Tips for Efficient Searching
Build a tall pillar or climb a mountain to get a better vantage point for scanning. In modpacks with terrain generation mods, biomes are often clustered, so finding one biome type can lead you to similar ones nearby. Mark promising locations with beacons or torches so you can return later. If you're searching for a rare biome, consider exploring different world regions—biome distribution varies by location. The mod's display system makes this process much faster than wandering blindly.
