How to Add Your Own Music to Biome Music Mod with a Resource Pack

The mod reads music from a tag-based folder structure inside a resource pack, so you never overwrite vanilla tracks — you extend them.

Build the folder structure

Create a resource pack and inside its assets folder add a namespace folder for the mod's music (the mod expects its own namespace directory, not minecraft). Under that, create the sound folders the mod listens for. The core folders are game, nether, end, plus the optional night, water, and cave folders. Name your files with the numbered pattern the mod scans for: game1 through game10, nether1 through nether10, and so on for each folder. Files must be .ogg format — other formats are ignored.

Register the sounds

Add a sounds.json in the same namespace that defines each sound event pointing at your .ogg files, and make sure your pack's pack.mcmeta is valid. Enable the pack in-game and reload with F3+T.

Verify

Enter the matching environment (a cave, the Nether, night, or underwater) and listen. If nothing plays, check that filenames match the numbered pattern exactly and that the .ogg files are not corrupt. Music is additive, so vanilla tracks still play alongside yours.
