Biolith Mod: Biome Placement and Surface Rules

What Biolith Does

Biolith Mod handles biome placement and world surface generation. It is a library-style mod, meaning it does not add content on its own but gives modpack and datapack authors control over where biomes appear and how the ground is built beneath them.

Biome Placement

You can add, remove, or replace biomes across the Overworld, Nether, and End. Sub-biomes can also be created, letting a smaller biome sit inside a larger modded or vanilla one. This makes it possible to reshape world generation without rewriting an entire dimension.

Surface Rules

Biolith provides custom surface rules and builders, so terrain layers such as topsoil, filler, and deepstone can be defined per biome or region. This is what produces distinctive landscapes rather than a uniform surface.

Compatibility

Biolith works alongside TerraBlender, the Fabric Biome API, and BClib, so it can be combined with other worldgen mods instead of replacing them.
