Locating Structures

Lost City structures generate naturally throughout the Overworld, so you don't need a special world type. They appear randomly as you explore, often in clusters. Look for modern building silhouettes on the horizon—apartment blocks, office buildings, and residential houses are common sights.

Exploration Tips

Structures show significant decay and environmental overgrowth, making them blend into the landscape. Use high ground or climb to scout ahead. Many buildings are partially collapsed or have vegetation breaking through walls and roofs, so watch your footing when entering.

Bring tools to break through blocked doorways and clear debris. Structures often contain multiple levels—explore vertically as well as horizontally. The interiors frequently feature abandoned furniture, scattered items, and nature reclaiming spaces, creating an atmospheric post-apocalyptic environment.

Safety Considerations

Structures may have unstable floors or open drops. Bring blocks to create safe paths and consider bringing a water bucket for fall damage mitigation. Mobs can spawn in darker interior areas, so bring appropriate lighting and weapons.
