Avoid Sleep Deprivation Debuffs

Understanding the No-Sleep Penalty

If you skip sleeping for three consecutive nights, your character will suffer from debuffs that grow stronger the longer you stay awake. These penalties are designed to make sleep a survival necessity, not just a convenience.

How to Stay Healthy

Sleep regularly. The simplest way to avoid debuffs is to sleep through at least one night every three days. When you wake up, you'll receive regeneration effects that heal you, making sleep a valuable survival tool.

Plan your activities. If you're working on a long project, schedule sleep breaks. Even one night in a bed will reset your sleep deprivation counter.

Check your status. Watch your effects screen (default: C key) to see if you're accumulating fatigue. The longer you ignore sleep, the more severe your debuffs become—affecting your combat ability, mining speed, and overall health.

Configuration Option

If the no-sleep debuffs feel too punishing, server administrators and single-player players can adjust the number of nights required before penalties apply through the mod's config file. This allows customization to match your playstyle.
