Set up rewards for players who sleep

Enabling the reward system

BetterSleeping can optionally give players items, experience, or other benefits when they sleep. This encourages participation in the sleep mechanic.

Configuring rewards

1. Open the BetterSleeping configuration file

2. Find the rewards or incentive section

3. Enable rewards by setting the option to true

4. Specify what reward type you want (items, experience points, or custom commands)

5. Define the reward amount or item stack

6. Save and reload the plugin

Reward types

Common reward options include:

  • Experience points: Players gain XP for sleeping
  • Items: Specific items added to player inventory
  • Commands: Custom commands execute when a player sleeps (useful for running scripts or granting permissions)

Testing rewards

Have a test player sleep and verify they receive the configured reward. Adjust amounts if rewards feel too generous or too stingy for your server's economy. Rewards should incentivize sleep without breaking game balance.
