How to Change Hurt Camera Intensity with the Keybinding

The On-the-Fly Approach

BetterHurtCam's standout feature is that you don't have to leave the game to tune the hurt camera. A keybinding lets you cycle or adjust the intensity while you play, which is perfect for testing what feels right.

1. Go to Options → Controls → Key Binds.

2. Search for the BetterHurtCam category.

3. Find the entry that adjusts hurt camera intensity and assign it a key that doesn't conflict with your movement or combat keys.

4. Save your controls.

Using It In-Game

Back in a world, press your assigned key. Depending on how the mod is configured, this either cycles through intensity levels or opens a small adjustment prompt. Watch the camera react as you take a hit so you can judge each setting.

Picking a Value

There's no single correct intensity. A subtle bob keeps some feedback that you were hit, which many players prefer for immersion. A near-zero value suits competitive play. Try a few levels during a fight with a zombie or skeleton and settle on whatever keeps your crosshair stable without feeling lifeless.

Tip

If the key does nothing, check that it isn't bound to another mod's function. Conflicts silently swallow input.
