Finding and Identifying Zombie Horses

Where to Look

Zombie horses spawn naturally in the Overworld, typically in small groups. They appear most commonly in plains, forests, and dark biomes, especially during night cycles or in dimly lit areas. Unlike regular horses, zombie horses have a distinctly undead appearance with the improved textures from this pack—look for the gory, decayed details that make them stand out from living mobs.

Spotting the Difference

With this resource pack installed, zombie horses display noticeably more realistic decay and skeletal features compared to the vanilla green texture. The pack's detailed design makes them easier to identify at a distance. They move and behave identically to vanilla zombie horses, so focus on visual cues: the texture quality and undead aesthetic are your best indicators.

Taming and Riding

Once you've found a zombie horse, you cannot tame it like a regular horse. Zombie horses cannot be ridden or controlled through conventional means. However, you can still interact with them for observation or photography purposes. The improved textures make them excellent subjects for building atmospheric undead-themed bases or creating horror-focused builds.
