How to Customize or Replace Title Screen Backgrounds

Preparing Your Custom Background

To replace existing backgrounds with your own images:

1. Create or source your image — Prepare a high-resolution image (typically 1920×1080 or higher for cinematic quality).

2. Convert to the correct format — Save your image as .png to maintain quality and transparency support.

3. Navigate to the resource pack folder — Open your Better Title Screens Resource Pack directory.

4. Locate the backgrounds folder — Find the subfolder containing existing background images (usually named backgrounds, textures/gui, or similar).

5. Replace or add your image — Copy your custom image into this folder, either replacing an existing background or adding it as a new file.

Updating Configuration

If adding a new background file:

  • Edit the configuration file to reference your new image filename.
  • Ensure the filename matches exactly (case-sensitive on some systems).
  • Save changes and restart Minecraft to load your custom background.

For best results, match your image dimensions to the existing backgrounds in the pack to avoid stretching or distortion.
