How to Hide the Forge Version, Game Version, and Mod Count

Why Hide This Information

The lower-left corner of the vanilla title screen normally shows the Minecraft version, and with Forge installed it also shows the Forge version and the number of loaded mods. Modpack creators and streamers often hide these to keep the screen clean or to avoid showing version details on camera. Better Title Screen provides toggles for exactly this.

Editing the Toggles

Open .minecraft/config/bettertitlescreen.cfg in a text editor. Alongside the S:Text line you will find boolean options — lines that read B:Something=true or false. Each one controls whether a specific piece of information is drawn. Set the relevant option to false to hide that element, or true to show it. The option names describe what they control, so match them to the version text, Forge text, or mod count you want gone.

Applying the Change

Save the file and restart Minecraft completely. The title screen reads these values at launch, so a running game will not pick up edits. If the text you wanted to hide is still visible, double-check you edited the correct boolean and that you did not accidentally change the S:Text line instead. Restore any option to true to bring the information back.
