How to Change the Custom Text on the Minecraft Title Screen
Finding and Editing the Config
Open your .minecraft/config folder and locate bettertitlescreen.cfg. Open it with a plain text editor like Notepad. Near the top you will see a line beginning with S:Text followed by the default Better Title Screen message. Everything between the angle brackets is what appears in the lower-left corner of the title screen. Replace that content with your own message, keeping the S:Text prefix and the surrounding brackets intact so the mod can still parse the line.
Applying and Testing
Save the file and relaunch Minecraft. The new text should appear under the main menu. If nothing changes, close the game fully before editing — the config is read at startup, so edits made while the game is running are overwritten on exit. Keep your message on a single line; line breaks inside the config value are not supported and will break the entry. If you want a blank line or spacing, use spaces rather than newlines.
Reverting Changes
If you make a mistake, simply delete your custom text and paste the default string back in, or delete the config file entirely and let the mod regenerate it on the next launch. Backing up the file before editing is the fastest way to recover.
