Make Spiders Look More Realistic with Thicker Legs

Understanding the Leg Redesign

Better Spider Remastered replaces the vanilla spider's thin, flat leg model with thicker, chunky 3D leg segments. This gives spiders a more substantial, less spindly appearance while keeping the original textures intact.

Enabling the Thicker Leg Model

1. Ensure the Better Spider Remastered Resource Pack is enabled in your resource packs list

2. The thicker leg model is applied by default—no extra configuration needed

3. Load into a world or create a new one

4. Find a spider in a cave, forest, or at night to see the redesigned legs in action

What to Expect

Spiders will now display noticeably chunkier leg joints and segments compared to vanilla. The legs are wider and more defined in 3D space, making them easier to see and less visually fragile. The texture remains the same classic spider appearance, so the pack blends naturally into your game world rather than looking cartoonish or out of place.

Cave spiders also receive the same treatment with compact proportions suited to their smaller body size.
