Dig Up Blocks Beyond Dirt

What Sniffers Can Now Excavate

Unlike vanilla sniffers, the Better Sniffers Data Pack allows sniffers to dig through a variety of block types, not just dirt and its variants. This means they can search in diverse terrain and uncover loot from different environments.

Blocks Sniffers Can Dig

Sniffers work on:

• Soul sand (Nether)
• Sculk blocks (Deep Dark)
• Mycelium (mushroom biomes)
• Sand (deserts and beaches)
• Crimson nylium (Nether)
• Warped nylium (Nether)
• Netherrack (Nether)

Using This Feature

Take advantage of this by exploring biomes you might normally skip. A sniffer in the Deep Dark can find sculk-related loot. Sniffers in the Nether can dig up ancient debris and other Nether-exclusive items. This expanded digging capability makes sniffers useful across all major biomes.
