Make Chest and Menu Backgrounds Clearer

Adjust Background Transparency

The dark overlay behind your inventory and chests can make it hard to see the world or read text. Better Screens Mod lets you control how transparent this background is.

Changing the Overlay

1. Open your mod configuration settings

2. Look for background opacity or darkness options

3. Increase transparency to see more of the world behind your menu

4. Set it fully transparent if you want no overlay at all

Texture Transparency

You can also adjust how see-through the chest and inventory textures themselves appear, separate from the background. This helps if the default textures feel too opaque or blend poorly with your resource pack.

Tips

• Lower opacity values = more see-through
• Fully transparent backgrounds work best in bright areas
• Adjust both settings together for the clearest view
• Changes apply immediately without restarting
