Organize Resource Packs by Category
Understanding Automatic Categorization
The mod automatically groups your resource packs into logical categories when you open the resource pack menu. Built-in packs (those included with Minecraft) are separated from vanilla packs and third-party additions, making it easier to locate what you need without scrolling through a mixed list.
How to Use Categories
1. Open the Options menu and navigate to Resource Packs
2. Observe how packs are now grouped by type rather than listed alphabetically
3. Built-in packs appear in their own section at the top
4. Vanilla packs are grouped together in the middle
5. Manually installed third-party packs appear below, separated from official content
Managing Large Collections
If you have many resource packs installed, this categorization prevents clutter. You can quickly identify which packs are official Minecraft content and which are custom additions. This is especially useful when troubleshooting conflicts—you can toggle categories on and off to test compatibility without hunting through an unsorted list.
The sorting persists across game sessions, so your organization remains consistent.
