Find a Specific Resource Pack in a Large Collection

Using Category Organization to Search Faster

With many resource packs installed, the mod's categorization system helps you locate packs without endless scrolling. Instead of one long list, packs are grouped by origin, reducing search time significantly.

Quick Location Steps

1. Open Options → Resource Packs

2. Determine which category your pack likely belongs to:

  • Built-in section: Official Minecraft packs
  • Vanilla section: Official packs you've added
  • Manually installed section: Custom packs you downloaded

3. Look within that category for your pack

4. If unsure of the category, check the manually installed section first (most common location)

Additional Tips

Resource packs within each category are typically sorted alphabetically, making it easier to scan. If you have dozens of packs, this beats scrolling through an unorganized list. Consider naming your custom packs with prefixes (like "[Textures]" or "[Shaders]") to group similar types together within the manually installed section.

The categorization also helps you remember where you placed each pack, improving future management.
