Distinguish Between Built-in and Manually Installed Packs

Why This Distinction Matters

Built-in resource packs come with Minecraft itself, while manually installed packs are those you've downloaded and placed in your resource packs folder. The mod visually separates these two types so you always know which packs are official and which are custom.

Identifying Pack Types

1. Open Options → Resource Packs

2. Look at the top section—these are your built-in packs (included with the game)

3. Below that, you'll see vanilla packs (official Minecraft content you've added)

4. At the bottom are manually installed packs (downloaded from creators)

Why This Helps

When troubleshooting texture or behavior issues, knowing which packs are official helps you isolate problems. If a conflict occurs, you can disable all manually installed packs first to confirm the issue isn't with your custom additions. Built-in packs are always stable, so separating them makes testing easier and faster.

This organization also prevents accidentally deleting or modifying official content when managing your collection.
