Enable Smooth Fade-Out for Night Vision

Configuring the Fade Effect

By default, night vision ends abruptly when the potion expires. The Better Night Vision Mod lets you enable a gradual transition instead.

Steps:

1. Locate your mod configuration file (typically in your config folder)

2. Find the night vision fade settings

3. Enable the smooth fade-out option

4. Adjust the fade duration if your config allows it

5. Save and reload your world

How It Works

Once enabled, when your night vision potion runs out, the brightening effect will gradually decrease over several seconds rather than switching off instantly. This creates a more natural transition and gives your eyes time to adjust to darkness, making the experience less jarring.

This setting is purely visual and doesn't affect potion duration or mechanics—it only changes how the effect disappears.
