Customize Portal Frame Colors

Accessing the Resource Pack Files

The Better Nether Portal Resource Pack stores its textures in your resource pack folder. To customize the portal frame color, locate the pack's texture files in your .minecraft/resourcepacks directory.

Editing Portal Frame Textures

1. Extract or open the resource pack folder

2. Navigate to the textures directory where portal-related files are stored

3. Open the portal frame texture file in an image editor (PNG format)

4. Modify the purple color values to your preferred shade using RGB or hex color codes

5. Save the file with the same name and format

6. Reload your resource packs in-game (Options > Resource Packs > Reload)

Testing Your Changes

Build a small test portal or visit an existing one to see your color modifications applied in real-time. The pulsating animation will use your new color scheme. If the changes don't appear immediately, try restarting your game client.

Note: Keep backup copies of original files before editing, so you can revert if needed.
