The Better Nether Portal Resource Pack dynamically adapts to any portal dimensions, so you're not limited to the standard 3×4 frame. Decide your desired width and height—larger portals create more dramatic entrances and work well for major builds or multiplayer hubs.

Construction Steps

1. Gather obsidian blocks for your frame

2. Arrange obsidian in your chosen rectangular shape (minimum 3×4, but larger is supported)

3. Use flint and steel on any block within the frame to ignite the portal

4. The portal surface will fill with the enhanced animated texture

Design Considerations

The transparent portal surface lets you see through clearly, so position your gateway where the view matters—perhaps overlooking a landscape or leading to a themed Nether base. The sleek purple frame complements both modern and fantasy builds. Consider adding decorative blocks around the obsidian frame to integrate it into your architecture.

Larger portals consume more visual resources, but the mod is optimized for performance across various sizes.
