Set Up a Jail Cell and Assign a Player

Creating Your First Jail Cell

Before you can jail anyone, you need to designate a jail area. Choose a secure location on your server—typically an enclosed room or structure where players cannot easily escape.

1. Stand in the location where jailed players should spawn when locked up

2. Use the jail creation command to mark this spot as your jail cell

3. Optionally set up a second location as the release point (where players go when freed)

4. Configure the cell in your settings to ensure it's active

Jailing a Player

Once your cell exists, you can jail rule-breakers:

1. Use the jail command with the player's name and sentence duration

2. Specify the time unit (minutes, hours, days) based on your server rules

3. Add an optional reason for the jail sentence

4. The player will be teleported to the jail cell immediately if online

5. If the player is offline, they will be jailed automatically when they next log in

The plugin will track their sentence and handle the countdown based on your timer settings—whether it counts only online time or continues while they're away.
