Integrate Jails with Essentials and Vault for Rank Changes

Better Jails Plugin works best when connected to Essentials and Vault. This integration automatically updates player profiles and ranks, making jailing more visible and impactful across your server.

Setting Up Essentials Integration

1. Ensure Essentials is installed and running on your server

2. Check your Better Jails config file for an Essentials integration option

3. Enable it if available

4. When a player is jailed, the "Jailed" tag will automatically appear on their profile

5. The tag disappears when they're released

Setting Up Vault Integration

1. Install Vault on your server (it acts as a bridge between plugins)

2. Ensure your permission plugin (LuckPerms, PermissionsEx, etc.) is running

3. Enable Vault integration in Better Jails config

4. Define which rank or group jailed players should receive

5. When someone is jailed, they'll be moved to the jail rank; when freed, their original rank returns

This creates a complete punishment system that's visible to all players and prevents jailed players from using rank-based commands or perks.
