Improve Bracket Pair Visibility in Complex Commands
Understanding Bracket Colorization
Better Highlighting Mod automatically assigns distinct colors to matching bracket pairs—square brackets [] and angle brackets <>. Each nested level receives a different color, making it easier to track which arguments belong together in complex selectors and commands.
Viewing Bracket Pairs Clearly
When you type a command with multiple bracket layers, hover over or position your cursor near an opening bracket. The mod highlights the matching closing bracket and colors the entire pair consistently. This is especially useful in:
- Selectors:
@e[type=zombie,nbt={...}] - NBT data: Commands with nested compound tags
- Nested arguments: Multiple levels of conditions
Customizing Bracket Colors
If default bracket colors are hard to distinguish, create a custom theme (see related guide) and adjust the bracket color palette. Assign high-contrast colors to different nesting levels so each pair stands out visually.
Test your settings by typing multi-layered commands in a command block to confirm readability.
