Navigate Command History During Server Management

Using Arrow Keys to Recall Commands

When managing your server, you often repeat similar commands. The command history feature lets you quickly access previously executed commands without retyping them.

To access command history:

1. Click in the console input field

2. Press the Up arrow key to cycle backward through your command history

3. Press the Down arrow key to cycle forward through more recent commands

4. When you find the command you need, press Enter to execute it

Editing Retrieved Commands

You don't have to execute a command exactly as it was previously run. After recalling a command from history:

1. Use Left/Right arrow keys to move your cursor within the command text

2. Edit the command as needed (change player names, coordinates, parameters, etc.)

3. Press Enter to execute the modified version

This workflow significantly speeds up repetitive server tasks like teleporting players, adjusting game rules, or running similar administrative commands with slight variations. The history persists during your current session, making it easy to refine commands on the fly.
