Troubleshooting: Sleep Not Skipping Night or Time Not Accelerating

Check the Basics First

If sleeping does nothing, confirm it's actually night and that you're in a valid bed with no monsters nearby — vanilla rules still apply. Make sure the mod is loaded on both client and server; on a server, the mod must be installed server-side for time acceleration to work for anyone. If you're in a dimension where beds don't normally work, expect the same restriction here.

Config Conflicts

A misconfigured cycle length can make acceleration look broken. If your day-night multiplier is set very high, the night is long and the acceleration feels slow even though it's working. Open the config and check the cycle and acceleration-related values. Reset them to defaults if you're unsure, then retest. Also check for other mods that overhaul sleeping or time — two mods fighting over the same behavior is a common cause of nothing happening.

Multiplayer Specifics

On a server, only sleeping players contribute to acceleration, so a single sleeper in a large group produces a slow transition by design. If nobody seems to affect time, verify the server has the mod and that the config wasn't overwritten by a restart. Ask other players whether they see the sky changing — if only you don't, it's likely a client-side install issue rather than a config one.
