Troubleshoot Boats Getting Stuck or Slowing Down

Identify the Problem

If your boat still stalls despite the mod:

• Check for 2+ block height changes (these exceed step height and need manual navigation)
• Look for entities or mobs blocking your path
• Verify you're not hitting water current transitions or lily pads

Common Causes

The mod improves movement but doesn't eliminate all obstacles. Boats can still get stuck on:

• Sudden terrain drops
• Dense vegetation or blocks
• Unexpected water level changes
• Mobs in the boat's path

Solutions

Clear your route of unnecessary blocks and mobs before high-speed travel. Design paths with gradual transitions rather than sharp changes. If a specific section causes problems, consider rerouting or manually piloting through that area. Test your boat's speed on the problematic section at lower speeds first to identify exactly where it slows.
