Adjust Settings for Your Playstyle
Access Configuration
The mod provides two main adjustable settings that control how your boat interacts with terrain:
- Step Height: Controls how tall a block your boat can automatically climb
- Extra Collision Detection Range: Determines how far ahead the mod checks for obstacles
When to Modify Settings
Increase step height if you're building routes with more pronounced elevation changes and want smoother transitions. Increase collision detection range if you're traveling at very high speeds and want earlier obstacle detection to prevent sudden stops.
Finding Your Balance
Start with default settings and adjust only if you experience specific issues—boats getting stuck on terrain, or collision problems at high speed. More aggressive settings may impact performance on lower-end systems. Test changes on a short route before committing to long-distance travel with new settings.
