Why Use Bamboo Charcoal

Bamboo logs can now be smelted into charcoal, giving you a renewable fuel source without needing to fell trees. This is especially useful early game when you're harvesting bamboo anyway.

Smelting Process

1. Gather bamboo logs by breaking bamboo stalks

2. Open a furnace, blast furnace, or smoker

3. Place bamboo logs in the top fuel/ingredient slot

4. Add any fuel source (coal, charcoal, wood, etc.) to the bottom slot

5.

6. Collect your charcoal from the output slot

The charcoal works identically to regular charcoal—use it to smelt more items, cook food, or fuel furnaces. Since bamboo grows quickly and infinitely, this creates a sustainable charcoal farm if you set up automatic bamboo harvesting.
