How to Use Bedrock-Style Block Bridging
Basic Bridging Technique
Bedrock-style bridging lets you place blocks in front of you without needing to crouch backwards. This is faster and safer than Java Edition's default bridging.
To bridge:
1. Face the direction you want to build
2. Press the Up arrow key to place a block directly ahead of you
3. Walk forward onto the newly placed block
4. Repeat by pressing Up again
You can also use Left and Right arrow keys to place blocks to your sides, useful for building walls or defensive structures while moving.
Advanced Bridging
Combine directional placement with sprint-jumping for faster traversal. Hold a block in your main hand and keep pressing the directional keys as you move—the mod handles placement automatically without requiring you to look down or adjust your camera angle.
This feature is especially useful when crossing lava, water, or dangerous terrain where traditional bridging would slow you down. Enable the feature using /gamerule bedrockfeatures true if it's not already active in your world.
