How to Transfer Energy With Energy Upgrades
Energy Transfer Basics
Bbl Routers can move energy (FE/RF-style) between energy-storing blocks using
Energy Upgrade I through IV. The setup mirrors item and fluid routing: place the router centrally, attach
Connectors to your energy source and destination, and add an
Importer on the source and an
Exporter on the destination.
Picking the Right Tier
Each Energy Upgrade tier raises the maximum energy transfer rate per tick. Tier I is suitable for trickle-charging small machines or batteries. Tier IV is for high-demand setups like charging large energy buffers or feeding power-hungry processing arrays. If your machines still starve at Tier IV, the limit is likely the machine's own input rate, not the router.
Mixing Energy With Items and Fluids
A single router can host multiple upgrade types at once. For example, you could run an Energy Upgrade alongside an Item Upgrade to power a machine and feed it ingredients through the same network. Just make sure each
Connector points at the correct inventory type — the router will only push energy into
blocks that actually accept energy.
Troubleshooting
If no energy moves, confirm the destination block stores energy and that the
Connector touches it directly. Also verify the router itself has a valid energy path — some setups require the router to be powered or connected to a network controller.
