How to Speed Up Item Transfer With Speed Upgrades

Understanding the Speed Tiers

Bbl Routers provides Speed Upgrade I through Speed Upgrade IV. Each tier increases how frequently the router attempts to move items. Without any speed upgrade, transfers happen at a slow baseline tick rate, which is fine for small setups but bottlenecks large farms or quarries.

Installing Speed Upgrades

Open the router's interface and place a Speed Upgrade into an available upgrade slot. Higher tiers stack the effect, so Speed Upgrade IV moves items far faster than Speed Upgrade I. If your router has multiple upgrade slots, you can combine a Speed Upgrade with a filter or capacity upgrade — they don't conflict.

When to Use Which Tier

  • Tier I–II: Small manual setups, early-game sorting.
  • Tier III: Medium automation, single farm output.
  • Tier IV: High-throughput systems like mob farms, quarries, or bulk processing chains.

If items still back up at Tier IV, the bottleneck is likely your destination inventory's own input rate, not the router. In that case, add a second Exporter to a parallel inventory or split the load across multiple routers.
