How to Set Up a Basic Item Router Network in Bbl Routers

Placing the Core Blocks

Start by placing a Router as the central hub of your network. Connect it to your source inventory (a chest, barrel, or machine output) using a Connector block placed adjacent to both the router and the inventory. Connectors are what let the router "see" neighboring inventories without you needing to run cables across long distances. Once a Connector touches both the router and a valid inventory, the router registers that inventory as part of its network.

Adding Importers and Exporters

To pull items *into* the network, attach an Importer to the source inventory. To push items *out* to a destination, attach an Exporter to the target inventory. The router handles the actual transfer between them. You can have multiple Importers and Exporters on the same router, which is how you build a sorting or distribution system.

Testing the Flow

Drop a few test items into your source chest and watch the router move them. If nothing moves, double-check that each Connector is actually touching both blocks, and that your Importer/Exporter face the correct inventory. Once items flow, you can start adding upgrades to control *what* moves and *how fast*.
