How to Move Fluids Between Tanks Using Fluid Upgrades
Setting Up Fluid Transfer
Fluid movement in Bbl Routers uses the same router-and-connector structure as item transfer, but you need a Fluid Upgrade installed in the router. Place a
Connector against your source tank and another against your destination tank, then attach an
Importer to the source side and an
Exporter to the destination side. The Fluid Upgrade tells the router to handle fluid instead of (or in addition to) items.
Choosing a Fluid Upgrade Tier
There are
Fluid Upgrade I through IV. Higher tiers increase the transfer rate — how much fluid moves per operation. Tier I is enough for slow drip-feed setups; Tier IV is for bulk tank-to-tank transfers or feeding large processing machines.
Common Pitfalls
- The router must have a Fluid Upgrade installed, or it will ignore fluid inventories entirely.
- Make sure your tanks are compatible fluid handlers (most modded tanks are).
- If fluid isn't moving, check that the
Connector is actually touching the tank block, not just adjacent to it. - You can run item and fluid upgrades in the same router if you want a combined network.
