Repair Your Elytra Without Fighting Phantoms

Why Avoid Phantoms

Phantoms spawn after two or more consecutive nights without sleep, making them a frustrating mob to farm. The Bat Membrane Mod lets you skip this entirely by obtaining phantom membranes from bats instead.

Getting Membranes from Bats

Kill bats in caves and dark underground areas. Each bat has a 0.75 chance to drop a phantom membrane. Gather several membranes before attempting repairs—you may need multiple attempts depending on your elytra's damage.

Repairing at an Anvil

Bring your damaged elytra and phantom membranes to an anvil. Use the membranes to repair the elytra just as you would with membranes from phantoms. The repair cost in experience levels depends on how damaged the elytra is.

Staying Rested

Since you're farming bats instead of phantoms, you can sleep regularly without worrying about phantom spawns. This keeps your spawn timer reset and lets you explore safely at night without aerial harassment.
