Barebones Bossbars displays a small, clean icon next to each boss's health bar. These per-mob icons provide instant visual recognition without cluttering your screen, letting you identify the boss at a glance even if you're not reading the name.

Using Icons During Gameplay

The icons are designed to be simple and thematic:

1. Glance at the icon when a bossbar appears to immediately know which boss you're facing

2. Combine icon + color for redundant identification—if you're colorblind or in a bright environment, the icon serves as a backup recognition method

3. Learn icon patterns after a few encounters; the minimalist style makes them memorable

Each boss type has a distinctive icon that reflects its nature. The icons are small enough to not interfere with gameplay visibility but detailed enough to be meaningful. This dual-layer system (icon + color) ensures you can always identify which boss's health bar you're looking at, whether you're fighting one boss or managing multiple encounters in a modpack with many boss types.
