Set Up Stash Hunting Overlays to Find Hidden Bases

Enable Container Highlighting

Open your mod settings and locate the stash-hunting or container-detection module. Enable highlighting for chests, barrels, shulker boxes, and other storage blocks. You can usually toggle which container types appear and customize their highlight color to stand out against your surroundings.

Configure Wall Penetration

Adjust the settings so containers remain visible through solid blocks. This lets you scan terrain and spot hidden stashes buried underground or inside mountains without breaking blocks. Set the render distance to a comfortable range—closer distances reduce visual clutter, while wider ranges help you locate bases from farther away.

Fine-Tune Display Colors

Choose highlight colors that contrast with your typical environment. Bright colors work well in caves; muted tones help in forests. Some players prefer different colors for different container types to quickly identify what they're looking at.

Search Systematically

Fly or travel in a grid pattern across terrain you want to scan. Watch your screen for highlighted containers appearing through walls. Mark coordinates of any stashes you find for later investigation or avoidance.
