How to Disable a Specific Mob in Bad Mobs (Normal Spawns, Spawners, and Spawn Eggs)

Find the mob's config entry

Open the Bad Mobs config file with a plain text editor. Every mob the mod knows about has its own section, written as a bracketed ID like [minecraft.creeper] or [modid:entity_name]. Scroll or use your editor's search function to find the section for the mob you want gone. If you can't find it, the mob may not have generated a section yet — load a world once with the mod installed so it can register entity types, then reopen the file.

Turn off the spawn methods you care about

Inside the mob's section you'll see three booleans. Set allowNormalSpawning = false to stop it appearing naturally in the world. Set allowSpawners = false to stop monster spawners from producing it. Set allowSpawnEggs = false to stop spawn eggs from creating it. You can mix and match — for example, keep spawn eggs working so you can still place the mob manually while blocking natural spawns. Save the file when done.

Apply the change

Reload the config or restart the game so the new values take effect. Existing mobs already in the world are not deleted by these three options; they only affect new spawns. If you want already-loaded mobs removed too, use the aggressive removal option instead, which overrides all three settings above.
