Playing Hide and Seek Strategically with Friends
Establish Clear Game Rules First
Decide on boundaries before playing. The map is massive—will players stay in certain zones, or is the entire space fair game? Set a time limit for hiding and seeking phases. Agree on whether certain rooms are off-limits or if all areas are accessible.
Use the Map's Size to Your Advantage
The endless yellow hallways and multiple strange rooms mean seekers can't cover everything. As a hider, use this vastness to create distance. As a seeker, focus on high-traffic areas like courtyards and main corridors rather than searching every corner.
Rotate Roles Fairly
After each round, switch who seeks and who hides. This keeps the game fresh and ensures everyone experiences both the tension of hiding and the challenge of seeking.
Create Memorable Meeting Points
Designate a "base" or "safe zone" using a distinctive landmark—perhaps the tiered cake room or a specific courtyard. This gives players a clear objective and prevents endless wandering.
Balance Skill Levels
If some players know the map better, handicap them by giving hiders a head start or limiting seekers to certain zones. This keeps the game competitive and fun for everyone.
