Looting Chests and Treasures in Ruins
Locating Hidden Chests
Chests in Aztec structures are intentionally concealed within walls, underground chambers, and dark rooms. They won't be sitting openly—you need to explore methodically. Check inside temple walls, beneath floor levels, and in sealed-off rooms. Look for suspicious stone patterns or areas that seem deliberately enclosed.
Preparing for Exploration
Bring a pickaxe to break through stone if needed, though most chests are accessible without mining. Bring torches to illuminate dark spaces where chests hide. Wear armor and bring weapons, as hostile mobs spawn in unlit areas. Consider bringing a water bucket for safety when navigating multi-level structures.
Chest Contents
Chests contain valuable loot typical of Minecraft treasure—rare items, enchanted gear, and useful materials. Each structure may hold multiple chests, so don't leave after finding just one. Mark your path with torches or blocks so you can navigate back out safely, especially in complex temple layouts.
