Troubleshoot Axolotl and Fish Coexistence Issues

Verify the Mod is Working

If you notice tropical fish disappearing despite having the mod installed, check that the mod is properly loaded in your game.

Step 1: Confirm the mod appears in your mods list (access this through your launcher or in-game menu).

Step 2: Restart your world or game client to ensure the mod is active.

Step 3: Test by placing a single axolotl near tropical fish. Observe for several minutes—the axolotl should ignore the fish.

Address Other Causes

If fish are still disappearing, consider other factors:

• Other mobs: Drowned, guardians, or other hostile mobs may be hunting your fish. Check your tank for unwanted visitors.
• Despawning: Tropical fish despawn if they're far from players for extended periods. Keep your aquarium loaded or nearby.
• Tank design: Ensure fish have adequate space and water flow to prevent accidental suffocation.

Once you've ruled out these issues, your axolotls and tropical fish should coexist peacefully.
