Set Up a Mixed Aquarium with Axolotls and Tropical Fish

Create a Safe Tank Environment

With this mod installed, axolotls will no longer hunt tropical fish, allowing you to keep both species in the same aquarium without worry.

Step 1: Build or prepare your aquarium with water blocks. Ensure it's large enough to accommodate both axolotls and tropical fish comfortably.

Step 2: Collect tropical fish from ocean or warm ocean biomes. Use a bucket to transport them, or lead them into your tank.

Step 3: Obtain axolotls by finding them in lush caves or by breeding them if you already have a pair.

Step 4: Place your axolotls into the aquarium. They will swim freely without attacking the tropical fish.

Maintain Your Aquarium

Keep water clean and oxygenated. Add aquatic plants like seagrass or kelp for aesthetics and to provide hiding spots for fish. Feed axolotls using tropical fish or other appropriate food sources if needed for breeding purposes.

Your mixed aquarium is now stable—both species can coexist indefinitely without predation concerns.
