Breed Axolotls While Keeping Tropical Fish Safe

Prepare for Breeding

This mod allows you to maintain a breeding population of axolotls without losing your tropical fish stock in the same tank.

Step 1: Ensure you have at least two axolotls in your aquarium.

Step 2: Feed both axolotls tropical fish to put them into breeding mode. They will display hearts and produce baby axolotls.

Step 3: Without this mod, newborn axolotls would immediately consume nearby tropical fish. With the mod active, your tropical fish remain safe during and after breeding.

Manage Population Growth

Baby axolotls will grow to adulthood over time. If your tank becomes overcrowded, you can relocate excess axolotls to separate tanks or use them for other purposes.

The tropical fish population will also remain stable, allowing you to harvest them for other uses or simply enjoy a thriving mixed ecosystem. This creates a sustainable aquarium where both species can reproduce naturally.
