How to Sort and Store a Collection of Axolotl Buckets

Using Textures as Labels

Once every bucket shows the correct axolotl variant and age, you can organize a chest or shulker box without opening each bucket. This turns a messy pile of identical pink icons into a readable collection.

Setting Up Your Storage

1. Catch one axolotl of each variant you want to keep: leucistic, wild, cyan, gold, and blue.

2. Place them in a chest in a fixed order, for example by rarity.

3. Use the bucket icons to confirm each slot holds the variant you expect.

4. Add a second row or separate chest for baby axolotls so age is obvious.

5. Label the chest with signs or item frames if you want extra clarity for visitors.

Because the mod is client-side, your sorting is based on what you see, and the underlying items are unchanged. This makes it practical to run a trading stand, a museum, or a breeding program where you need to grab a specific axolotl quickly. If you later install or remove the mod, the buckets themselves are unaffected, so your collection stays intact.
