How to Use Axiom's Text Tool with Cyrillic Support
What the Text Tool Does
Axiom's world editor includes a text processing tool that turns typed characters into block-built lettering in the world. Unlike many similar tools, it supports Cyrillic characters, so you can build signs, labels, and decorative text in Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and other Cyrillic-script languages without workarounds.
Placing Text Step by Step
Open the world editor with Right Shift and locate the text tool in the tool list. Type your message into the input field — Cyrillic letters are accepted directly, so you can paste or type them as normal. Choose the block that will form the letters, then set the orientation: text can lie flat on the ground or stand vertically on a wall. Click in the world to place it. Axiom renders each glyph as a pattern of blocks, so pick a contrasting block against your background for readability.
Sizing and Positioning
Adjust the scale of the text before placing it. Larger scales make each letter span more
blocks, which suits big signage; smaller scales work for fine labels. You can rotate the text to face a
particular direction, and reposition it by moving your cursor before confirming. If a letter comes out misaligned, undo and re-place rather than editing block by block.
Tips
- Test with a short word first to confirm the font and scale look right.
- Use a solid backing wall so the text stands out.
- Cyrillic input works the same as Latin — no special mode needed.
