Optimize Fortune Tool Selection for Mining Ores

Using Fortune Configuration

Fortune increases drops from ores and other blocks. Auto Tools can prioritize Fortune-enchanted tools for specific blocks to maximize your resource gathering.

Steps

1. Navigate to your mod configuration folder

2. Open or create the fortune.json file

3. Add the blocks where you want Fortune prioritized (typically ores like coal, lapis, diamond, and redstone)

4. Save and reload your game

5. When you mine these blocks, Auto Tools will equip your Fortune tool automatically

Best Practices

• Add ore blocks where Fortune has the most impact: diamond, emerald, lapis lazuli, and redstone
• If multiple Fortune tools exist in your inventory, Auto Tools selects based on mining speed and level
• Fortune won't activate if you don't have a Fortune-enchanted tool available
• Combine this with Silk Touch configuration to handle different mining scenarios automatically
