Make Auto Tools Always Use Shears for Specific Blocks

Configuring Shears Priority

Shears are the fastest way to harvest certain blocks like wool, leaves, and vines. Auto Tools can be configured to always prefer shears for these blocks.

Steps

1. Open your mod's configuration folder

2. Find or create the shears.json file

3. Add block entries for blocks where shears should be prioritized

4. Save the configuration and reload your game

5. When you approach these blocks, Auto Tools will automatically equip shears from your inventory

What to Configure

• Wool blocks (all colors)
• Leaves and azalea leaves
• Vines and cave vines
• Glow lichen
• Seagrass and tall seagrass

Important Notes

• Shears entries always override other tool selections for those blocks
• If you don't have shears in your inventory, Auto Tools will use your next best tool
• This configuration works independently from Silk Touch and Fortune settings
