Set Up Your First Welcome Message

Accessing the Configuration

Locate the Auto Greeter Mod configuration file in your server's config folder. This is typically found in .minecraft/config/ on single-player or in the server root on multiplayer.

Adding a Welcome Message

1. Open the mod's configuration file in a text editor

2. Find the messages list or greeting section

3. Add your welcome message as a new entry

4. Use standard text formatting—the mod will send it directly to chat

5. Save the file

6. Restart your server or reload the mod configuration

Testing Your Message

Have a player (or use an alt account) join the server. Your configured message should appear in chat automatically. If it doesn't appear, verify:

• The configuration file was saved correctly
• The server was restarted after editing
• The message syntax matches the mod's expected format

You can add multiple messages and the mod will typically cycle through them or select randomly when players join.
