Disable or Pause Automatic Greetings Temporarily

Turning Off the Mod

There are situations where you might want to stop automatic greetings—during maintenance, events, or troubleshooting. You have several options.

Methods to Disable Greetings

1. Disable in config: Open your configuration file and look for an enabled/disabled toggle. Set it to false or disabled, then save and restart.

2. Empty the message list: Remove all messages from your configuration. With no messages to send, the mod won't greet players.

3. Unload the mod: If your server supports mod reloading, you can temporarily disable Auto Greeter without restarting.

Re-enabling Later

When you're ready to resume:

• Toggle the enabled setting back to true, or
• Re-add your messages to the configuration
• Restart or reload as needed

Quick Troubleshooting

If greetings are still appearing after disabling, verify that your configuration changes were saved and your server fully restarted. Some server setups require a complete shutdown and restart rather than a soft reload.
