Combine Authentic Shadows with Other Resource Packs

Stacking Resource Packs Correctly

Authentic Shadows can work alongside other packs, but order is critical.

1. Open Resource Packs menu

2. Arrange packs so Authentic Shadows is positioned above any texture or detail packs

3. Place cosmetic packs (UI, sound) below Authentic Shadows

4. Test your world and adjust if shadows look incorrect

Compatibility Considerations

Authentic Shadows focuses purely on shadow rendering, so it rarely conflicts with:

  • Texture packs (they modify block/entity appearance)
  • UI packs (they change menus and HUD)
  • Sound packs (they replace audio)

However, avoid stacking multiple shadow-focused packs together, as they may override each other's effects.

If shadows disappear or look wrong after adding another pack, move Authentic Shadows higher in the list. The topmost pack takes priority. Test incrementally—add one pack at a time and verify shadows still display correctly before adding more.
