Fix Unnatural Colors in Specific Biomes
Understand Color Grading Behavior
Aurora Veil applies a global cyan/teal color filter across your entire world. In some biomes—particularly those with warm tones like deserts or savannas—this can create an unnatural appearance. The shader also treats the Nether separately, applying teal and violet tones instead.
Adjust Biome-Specific Settings
Check your shader settings for:
- Biome color override: Some versions allow you to reduce color grading in specific biomes
- Global saturation slider: Lowering this makes the teal tint less aggressive everywhere
- Nether color mode: Toggle between the violet tint and a more neutral look
Use Selective Disabling
If certain biomes look too washed out, you may need to disable the shader in those areas using your mod loader's configuration, or temporarily toggle the shader off when visiting them. This is a limitation of global color grading—it affects all biomes uniformly.
Consider whether the aesthetic trade-off matches your preference for the aurora effect in other biomes.
